Port of Longkou  Position : 37°39'07" N 120°19'07" E  located in the Longkou Bay of Bohai Gulf.  Channel : depth / 9.5 meters; length/ 10 kilometers.  Temperature : annual average 11.6°, the highest temperature is July with average of 25.4°C and the lowest is January with average of - 3.1°C.  Wind : wind direction more from the south, average speed 34 metres per second.  Precipitation : annual precipitation is 633.3 mm.  Ice : ice period covered from January to March with thickness leaves no influence for vessel's navigation in the channel and terminal basis.  Fog : annual average 10 days, normally occured in April.  Hydrology : spring and neap tide changes every half day irregularly with water level rising of 3.40 meters in the highest and -1.23 meters in the lowest, tide difference is 0.91 meters, rising tide speed 0.26 meters per second, ebb tide speed 0.13 meters per second.  Hinterland : the port covers part of Shandong province.
