Port of Nantong  Position : 32°01'00" N 120°51'00" E  located in the lower beaches of Yangzi River.  Channel : depth / 10 meters; length/ 98.8 kilometers.  Temperature : annual average 15°, the highest temperature is July with average of 29.6°C and the lowest is January with average of - 0.2°C. 1  Wind : wind direction more from the southeast, max speed 26.3 metres per second.  Precipitation : annual precipitation is 1091 mm.  Ice : ice-free-port.  Fog : annual average 30.9 days, normally occured in spring and winter.  Hydrology : tideway of Yangzi River, spring and neap tide changes every half day irregularly with water level rising of 6.38 meters in the highest and 0.42 meters in the lowest, tide difference is 1.96 meters, rising tide speed 0.99 meters per second, ebb tide speed 0.77 meters per second.  Hinterland : Nantong city and part of Jiangsu province.
