Port of Rizhao Position : 35°25'41" N 119°33'27" E  located in the west of Bohai Gulf.  Channel : 2 channels available, depth/ 9-15.5 meters; length/ 2.4-4.1 kilometers.  Temperature : annual average 12.5°, the highest temperature is 37.5°C and the lowest is - 14.5°C.  Wind : wind direction more from the north.  Precipitation : annual precipitation is 955 mm and nearly half falls in July and August.  Ice : ice-free-port.  Fog : annual average 26.5 days.  Hydrology : spring and neap tide changes every half day regularly with water level rising of 4.73 meters in the highest and 0.59 meters in the lowest, tide difference is 2.98 meters, rising tide speed 0.87 meters per second, ebb tide speed 0.59 meters per second.  Hinterland : the port covers part of Shandong province.
