Port of Dalian Position : 38°50'36" N 121°31'27" E  located in the sorthern end of Liaodong peninsula.  Channel : total 7 channels available, depth/ between 9.0 to 17.5 meters;  length/ 13.5 kilometers.  Temperature : annual average 10.2°, the highest temperature is 35.3°C and the lowest is - 20.1°C.  Wind : in winter wind direction more from the north; in summer more from the south..  Precipitation : annual precipitation is 659 mm and nearly 70% falls in July, August and September.  Ice : ice thickness between 5 to 35 cm, which leaves no influence for vessel's navigation in the channel and terminal basis.  Fog : annual 31.6 fog days of visibility within 1 kilometer.  Hydrology : spring and neap tide changes every half day regularly with water level rising of 4.60 meters in the highest and 0.66 meters in the lowest, tide difference is 2.10 meters, tide speed 0.64 meters per second.  Hinterland : the port covers three provinces of Heilongjiang, Jilin, Liaoning and east part of InnerMongolia.
