Port of Dandong  Position : 40°06'24" N 120°22'39" E  located in the north coast of Yalu River, the very north port of China.  Channel : depth / 9.1 meters; length/ 10 miles.  Temperature : annual average 8.4°, the highest temperature is 33.8°C and   the lowest is - 28.2°C.  Wind : wind direction more from the northwest, average speed 3.2 metres per second, maximum 18 meters per second.  Precipitation : annual precipitation is 875.4 mm.  Ice : ice period covered from December to the following year March with thickness leaves 15 days influence for vessel's navigation in the channel and terminal basis.  Fog : annual average 31.6 days with visibility with 1 kilometers.  Hydrology : water level rising of 7.72 meters in the highest and - 0.57 meters in the lowest, tide difference is 4.58 meters.  Hinterland : the port covers east parts of two provinces of Heilongjiang and Jilin.
