Port of Haikou  Position : 20°02'40" N 110°19'30" E  located in the north of Hainan Island .  Channel : depth / 6.5 meters; length/ 4.8 kilometers.  Temperature : annual average 23.9°, the highest temperature is July with average of 28.1°C and the lowest is January with average of 17.3°C.  Wind : in spring, wind direction more from the southeast; in summer, is typhoon season, in winter, from the northeast.  Precipitation : annual precipitation is 1785 mm and nearly half falls in July and August.  Ice : ice-free-port.  Fog : annual average 30 days.  Hydrology : spring and neap tide changes every half day irregularly with water level rising of 2.4 meters in the highest and 0.5 meters in the lowest, tide difference is 1.1 meters, tide speed 0.9 meters per second.  Hinterland : Hainan province (Island).
