Port of Lianyungang  Position : 34°42'05" N 119°18'40" E  located in the middle of west coast of Huanghai.  Channel : depth / 8 meters; length/ 10.5 kilometers, double direction.  Temperature : annual average 14.2°, the highest temperature is 38.5°C and the lowest is - 10.4°C.  Wind : wind direction more from the east; max speed 28 metres per second.  Precipitation : annual precipitation is 852.8 mm and nearly half falls in the period of June to September.  Ice : ice-free-port.  Fog : annual average 18 days, normally prolong about 2 hours.  Hydrology : spring and neap tide changes every half day irregularly with water level rising of 6.5 meters in the highest and 0.45 meters in the lowest, tide difference is 6.48 meters, average tide speed 0.2 meters per second.  Hinterland : the port covers northeast part of Jiangsu province.
