Port of Qinhuangdao  Position : 39°53'40" N 119°31'35" E  located in the west of Liaodong Bay.  Channel : 3 channels available, depth/ 13 meters.  Temperature : annual average 10.2°, the highest temperature is August with average of 24.5°C and the lowest is January with average of - 6.5°C.  Wind : wind direction more from the southwest.  Precipitation : annual precipitation is 691.1 mm and nearly 70% falls in July and August.  Ice : ice period covered from November to the following year March with thickness between 15 mm, which leaves no influence for vessel's navigation in the channel and terminal basis.  Fog : annual average 11.6 days, normally occured in the end of spring.  Hydrology : spring and neap tide changes daily irregularly with water level rising of 2.48 meters in the highest and -1.43 meters in the lowest, tide difference is 0.71 meters, rising tide speed 0.51 meters per second, ebb tide speed 0.36 meters per second.  Hinterland : crude oil and coal, coke export port, covers the northeast of Shanxi.
