Port of Yantai  Position : 37°32'12" N 121°22'18" E  located in the north of Shandong Peninsula.  Channel : 2 channels available, depth/ 8.7 to 10.2 meters; length/ 2.9 - 3.8 kilometers.  Temperature : annual average 12.5°, the highest temperature is in August with average of 25°C and the lowest is January with average of - 1.6°C.  Wind : wind direction more from the southwest, strong wind more from south, max speed 33.5 meters per second.  Precipitation : annual precipitation is 737 mm and nearly half falls in July and August.  Ice : ice-free-port.  Fog : annual average 4 days.  Hydrology : spring and neap tide changes every half day regularly with water level rising of 2.5 meters in the highest and 1.47 meters in the lowest, tide difference is 1.67 meters, rising tide speed 0.6 meters per second, ebb tide speed 0.38 meters per second.  Hinterland : Yantai City.
