Port of Zhanjiang Position : 21°09'40" N 110°21'36" E  located in the northeast of Leizhou Peninsula.  Channel : depth / 10 meters; length/ 32.5 seamiles.  Temperature : annual average 23.1°, the highest temperature is 38.1°C and the lowest is 2.8°C.  Wind : wind direction more from the east and southeast, typhoon occurs more in August and September.  Precipitation : annual precipitation is 1567.3 mm, from April to September is rain season.  Ice : ice-free-port.  Fog : annual average 25 days, normally occured as from Januray to April.  Hydrology : spring and neap tide changes every half day irregularly with water level rising of 4.33 meters in the highest and 2.04 meters in the lowest, tide difference is between 4 and 6 meters, rising tide speed 1.54 meters per second, ebb tide speed 1.95 meters per second, direction parallel with channel.  Hinterland : the port covers five provinces of Yunnan, Guangxi, Guizhou, Sichuan, Hunan and west part of Guangdong.
